Meet Our Amazing New Team Members
Brad Jahner | Executive Director
“I have a passion for our senior community – it’s about creating new memories for them and providing ‘Top Notch’ services and amenities that benefit them directly.”
With strong leadership in both hospitality and senior housing, Brad Jahner joined Townehall Place to lead the new vision and transformation of our community. Born and raised in Troy, Michigan, Brad began his career working in the hospitality industry while attending Central Michigan University. Instrumental in successfully operating new hotels throughout Michigan, Brad made the move to senior housing in 2010. He has proudly served as executive director within 5 different levels of senior housing throughout the state and is happy to be sharing the changes happening at Townehall Place with those who call our community home.
Tasheona Beard, LPN | Resident Care Director
“The best part of my day is knowing that I’ve served a purpose to someone in this world.”
Caring for others comes natural to Tasheona Beard, and she takes great pride in doing so. With over 8 years experience in the healthcare field, Tasheona began her career as a Certified Nursing Assistant at the age of 18 and has experience in assisted living, memory care and skilled nursing. She shares a true passion for enhancing the wellbeing of others and truly enjoys being able to make a difference in the lives of the residents of Townehall Place on a daily basis, even with the simplest of tasks. In addition to being dedicated to her career and providing the best possible care to residents, she is also extremely dedicated to her husband and 3 children who truly are the light of her life.
Ariel Starr, CTRS | Life Enrichment Director
“I love enriching the lives of seniors, as they enrich mine in return.”
Ariel went to Central Michigan University, and has a BS degree in Therapeutic Recreation. She then took a national board exam and is certified. She has worked with the senior population for 6 years in Assisted Living, Independent Living, and Skilled Nursing. She loves creating a variety of unique programs, and bringing in entertainers, speakers, and going out into the community (of course once it’s safe to do so again). Ariel loves bringing a smile to the residents’ faces and has a passion for helping others. She loves to be creative – both in her personal life and creating programs and in her free time, she likes crafting and spending time with family.
Mike Namet | Culinary
“Sometimes you never know the value of a moment until it becomes a memory.”
Michael graduated from Michigan State University in 2005 with a degree in Business. I began my journey long before that working in restaurants to pay for school. After college I went to culinary school and decided to go back to cooking as it is my passion. I have worked under three master chefs and believe in a farm to table experience. My goal here is to provide delicious food made from scratch using fresh ingredients while having fun with the staff and residents. I have worked in senior living now for the last 5 years and am enjoying being part of the wonderful team at Townehall.
